Search Item

Required Permissions

  1. View Items
    • ability to search and view items
  2. Setup Items
    • ability to add, view, edit and delete items
  3. View Reports

Search Item

  • Go to Items tab of the main menu.
  • Select Search Item menu item.

  • Specify the necessary search criteria in Search Item frame:

The following optional filters can be applied:

Item
Owner Visible only if Ownership mode is set up as Item level in System Settings. If you (your CoreIMS user) have a specified Owner (please refer to Users section), you will be able to search for item(s) only of this Owner or without owner.
Description
Alternative
ABC Class Drop-down list of the predefined system values: A, B, C.
Picking Sequence Drop-down list of the predefined system values: Default, FIFO, LIFO, FEFO.
Manufacturer The necessary Manufacturer can be searched by the ellipsis button [...].
Item Class Drop-down list of the user-defined Item Classes.
Item Category Drop-down list of the user-defined Item Categories.
Item Type Drop-down list of the user-defined Item Types.
Barcode
Qty Increment (RF) Drop-down list of the predefined system values: Scan or specify manually, Scan each individual item.
Active Checked by default.
Lot Control
Serial Control
Service
Assembly
Custom Fields If item has any Active Custom Fields.

CoreIMS allows you to do the following when searching:

1) search by the beginning or by any part of text fields;

2) set checkboxes to one of three states for searching;

3) hide/unhide search filters;

4) collapse/expand the filter area.

  • Once you specify all necessary filter criteria, click Enter or Apply Filter button.

    The results that satisfy the search criteria will be loaded to Items frame:

  • You can reset previously specified filter criteria by clicking Reset Filter button.

  • Use navigation buttons Navigation_buttons to switch the pages of the grid.
    You can also customize the view of the grid and use Ctrl+F for searching.

  • If needed, update the list of displayed items with the up-to-date data from the database by clicking Refresh button.

Add Item

You can add a new item by clicking Add button:

View and Edit Item

You can edit and, if needed, edit the necessary item by clicking on it and then on Edit button or by simply double-clicking on the item on the grid:

Item List Report

You can print or export Item List report displaying the data from the grid on Search Item screen. To this end use Print or Export button accordingly.
