Required Permissions

1. Setup Items
   • ability to add, view, edit and delete item classes, categories and types
2. View Items
   • ability to view item classes, categories and types in read-only mode

View

• Go to Items tab of the main menu.
• Select Items Classification menu item.

The following window with item classes opens:

Item classes include item categories.
Item categories contain item types.

• Select an item class and click the button: . You will see item categories that belong to the item class selected. The same can be done to view item types assigned to item categories:

• Use navigation buttons to switch the pages of the grid.
  You can also customize the view of the grid and use Ctrl+F for searching.

• If needed, update the list of displayed item classes with the up-to-date data from the database by clicking Refresh button.

Item Class

Add

Option 1

• Select Items Classification menu item from Items tab of the main menu.
• Click Add Class button.
• Specify the necessary attributes.
  • Code is required.

• Click Save button.
• Click Reset button if you want to cancel adding of a new item class.

Option 2

• Select Add Class menu item from Items tab of the main menu.

• Specify the necessary attributes.
  • Code is required.

• Click Save button.
• Click Reset button if you want to cancel adding of a new item class.

Edit

• Select Items Classification menu item from Items tab of the main menu.
• Click on an item class to be edited:

• Edit the necessary attributes.
• Click Save button.
• Click Reset button if you want to reset the unsaved changes.

Delete

• Select Items Classification menu item from Items tab of the main menu.
• Click on an item class to be deleted:

• Click Delete button.

Note. You cannot delete an item class that has items associated with it.

Item Category

Add

Option 1

• Select Items Classification menu item from Items tab of the main menu.
• Click on the item class you want to add an item category to.
• Click Add Category button.
• Specify the necessary attributes.
  • Code is required.

• Click Save button.
• Click Reset button if you want to cancel adding of a new item category.

Option 2

• Select Add Category menu item from Items tab of the main menu.

• Specify the necessary attributes.
  • Item Class and Code are required.

• Click Save button.
• Click Reset button if you want to cancel adding of a new item category.

Edit

• Select Items Classification menu item from Items tab of the main menu.
• Select the item class whose item category you want to edit. Unfold the list of its categories by clicking .
• Click on an item category to be edited:

• Edit the necessary attributes.
• Click Save button.
• Click Reset button if you want to reset the unsaved changes.

Delete

• Select Items Classification menu item from Items tab of the main menu.
• Select the item class whose item category you want to delete. Unfold the list of its categories by clicking .
• Click on an item category to be deleted:

• Click Delete button.

Note. You cannot delete an item category that has items associated with it.

Item Type

Add

Option 1

• Select Items Classification menu item from Items tab of the main menu.
• Click on the item class you want to add an item type to. Unfold the list of its categories by clicking .
• Click on the item category you want to add an item type to.
• Click Add Type button.
• Specify the necessary attributes.
  • Code is required.

• Click Save button.
• Click Reset button if you want to cancel adding of a new item type.

Option 2

• Select Add Type menu item from Items tab of the main menu.

• Specify the necessary attributes.
  • Item Category and Code are required.

• Click Save button.
• Click Reset button if you want to cancel adding of a new item type.

Edit

• Select Items Classification menu item from Items tab of the main menu.
• Select the item class whose item type you want to edit. Unfold the list of its categories by clicking .
• Select the item category whose item type you want to edit. Unfold the list of its types by clicking .
• Click on an item type to be edited:

• Edit the necessary attributes.
• Click Save button.
• Click Reset button if you want to reset the unsaved changes.

• Select the item category whose item type you want to delete. Unfold the list of its types by clicking .
